It's going to be a fun-gus weekend in Gridwood!  Check out this amazing schedule:

Saturday, Sept. 8th

9:30am-5 pm Mushroom display at the Girdwood Community Room

10am, 10:30am, 11am, 11:30am  *Forays* ($10) Guided mushroom walks with mycologists. Register online in advance through Brown Paper Tickets. Meet at Community Room 15 minutes prior to foray. Foray leaders: Steve Trudell (10am), Noah Siegel (10:30am), Rick Van de Poll (11am) and Christin Swearingen (11:30am).

12pm-2pm, 2pm-4pm *Demo* Mushrooms to Dye With ($25) Dye 2 silk scarves with pigments derived purely from wild harvested mushrooms (many found locally) with Teresa Paquet and Melissa Gabrielson. Register online in advance through Brown Paper Tickets. Check in at the Girdwood Community Room 15 minutes prior to demo session, which will be held at the Nissman Pavilion

1-2pm *Talk* To Live and Dye For: Edible, Poisonous, and Dye Mushrooms of Alaska Noah Siegel

2-3pm *Talk* Medicinal Uses of Fungi Rick Van de Poll

3-4pm *Talk* Is it Edible? Steve Trudell

4-5pm *Kids Foray* ($5) foray for kids led by our local junior mycologist Gabriel! Register online in advance at Brown Paper Tickets.

6-8pm *Girdwood Brewing Company Social* Join us at the Girdwood Brewing Company for a casual evening with food trucks, local beers, and fun with fun-guys! Tshirts will be available for purchase. No cover charge or advanced ticket purchase required.

Sunday, Sept. 9th

9:30am-3pm Mushroom display at the Girdwood Community Room.

10am-11am *Talk* Mushroom Identification 101 Rick Van de Poll

10am, 10:30am and 11am *Forays* ($10) Groups meet at community room 15 min. prior, limited to first 15 to register online in advance through Brown Paper Tickets. Foray Leaders: Steve Trudell (10am), Noah Siegel (10:30am), Sam David (11am)

11am-1pm *Workshop * ($25) The owners of Far North Fungi will be offering a make your own oyster mushroom and lions mane mushroom home cultivation kits as well as giving a talk on what they do. Register in advance on Brown Paper Tickets.

1-2pm *Talk* Mushroom Identification Resources for Alaska Kate Mohatt

2-3pm *Talk * Conserving Mycological Diversity Rick Van de Poll

3-4pm *Kids Foray* ($5) Kids Foray with Gabriel. Kids ages 5-11 must register online at Brown Paper Tickets. Meet at the community room 15 minutes prior. Limited to the first 10 to register.
