August Blooms Workshop and Retreat
Join Bloomsbury Blooms owner and florist Dallas at her home and growing flower farm for wild foraging, floral design, and plenty of nourishing local foods. Please let us know of any dietary restrictions at the time of registration.
Sutton is a one hour drive from Anchorage. Accommodations are shared rooms with a roommate in a beautiful log home or a cabin on the property. One private room is available on a first come first serve basis.
Cost: $495 per person covers all food, lodging, and supplies.
Travel not included. Tuition is nonrefundable. Retreat is for participants 21 years old and over. This retreat is limited to 7 participants.

Saturday, August 19th, 2017
10-11:00 Welcome brunch
11:00-11:30 Unpack and prepare for a foraging walk
11:30-12:30 Foraging walk
12:30-1:30 Creating a 100% foraged arrangement
1:30-2:00 Lunch
2:00-3:30 Creating low arrangements and planning a tablescape
3:30-5:30 Wearable flowers- From crowns to floral necklaces.
5:30-7:30 Break time. Take a bath, shower or sauna, take a walk, enjoy the view, get to know each other.
7:30 -10:00 Feast: enjoy local food, a beautiful table scape, wine, mountain views and conversation

9:00-1:00 Visit to flower farm down the road to harvest flowers and enjoy a picnic lunch
1:00-2:30 Creating an installation piece
2:30-4:00 cultivating creativity exercise
