Certified Food Protection Manager Training
A certified food protection manager (CFPM) is responsible for monitoring and managing all food establishment operations to ensure that the facility is operating in compliance with food establishment regulations.
A CFPM is knowledgeable about food safety practices and uses this knowledge to provide consumers with safe food, protect public health and prevent foodborne illnesses. Alaska regulations require food establishments to have at least one CFPM on staff.
Cooperative Extension will offer the Certified Food Protection Manager training on Wednesday, July 25, 2018 via video-conference in Bethel, Craig, Fairbanks, Juneau, Palmer, Sitka, and Unalaska. (If you are in another location but would like to attend, please contact jmcascio@alaska.edu with location info before signing up so video-conference and proctoring can be arranged.)
Testing for this certification is computer-based after the training. Or it will be within one week, depending on proctor's schedule in your community.
Cost of $200 includes class, study book, one test and proctor. Sign up by July 11 so book can be sent ahead of class. Studying it is recommended!
Refund policy: Cancellation request must be received in writing at least 15 days prior to the date of the class. If the training book has not yet been mailed to the participant, a 100% refund will be made to the payer. If the book has been mailed, return the sealed CFPM book for a 90% refund when it is received at 1509 S. Georgeson, Palmer, AK, 99645. If the book has been opened and/or is not returned, a 50% refund will be given. No refunds will be given if the cancellation notice is within 14 days prior to class.
