Catch the Ketchikan premiere of The Salmon Forest, a 30-minute feature documentary created by Pioneer Studios with the cooperation of the Sitka Conservation Society and the U.S. Forest Service.

The film highlights the vital connection residents of Southeast Alaska have with the land and waters of the Tongass National Forest, and its importance to our communities, culture, and way of life. The significance of the salmon is expressed in the film by Forest Service biologists, local artist Ray Troll, Kake Tribal Councilman Joel Jackson, Sitka fly fishing guide Tad Kisaka, commercial fishermen Karl Jordan and Mo Johnson, and more. Some of them will be in attendance for the event.

The premiere is free and open to all.
