Examine the museum’s collection of whale harvesting tools, hear from contemporary whaling crew members, and learn about processing the whale for consumption. Yaari Walker of Riglluk Creations and Dr. Gary Ferguson will facilitate. The Urban Homesteading 101 series connects contemporary Alaska lifeways with history and context through the museum collection and hands-on learning with local experts. $20, members receive 10 percent discount.
