Congratulations to Edible Alaska on reaching this incredible milestone—ten years of sharing Alaska’s flavors, stories and spirit. As complex manager, I’m honored to join in this celebration, reflecting on our own journey in Alaska and looking ahead to the future we’re building together. It’s a privilege to witness the positive impact Edible Alaska has made, connecting people through food and community in ways that truly resonate with our own mission.

OUR BEGINNINGS: PLANTING SEEDS IN ALASKA

Our organization’s story in Alaska began with a simple but powerful belief: that Alaska’s communities deserve investment guidance, opportunity and support tailored to their unique needs. Years ago, we saw the potential for meaningful growth and partnership here—the state’s rich natural resources, resilient people and vibrant culture called to us. From those early days, our focus was clear: serve Alaskans, honor traditions, and help foster sustainable progress. We are excited to listen, learn, and grow alongside Alaskans as we establish our presence.

WHERE WE ARE TODAY: ANCHORED IN ACHIEVEMENT

With three new branches launched in Anchorage, Juneau and Palmer, we’re in the early years of what we hope will be a long and fruitful relationship with Alaska’s communities. Our foothold is fresh, but our commitment is strong. We’re forging local partnerships, supporting community initiatives and making it our mission to serve Alaskans and honor the traditions that make this region unique. Each step is a testament to our dedication to building a brighter future here by investing in the strength and resilience of Alaska.

As we join Edible Alaska in celebrating its 10-year anniversary, we’re also looking forward to growing and serving Alaskans for many years to come. Our journey has just begun, and we’re eager to deepen our commitment to the region, expand our reach and set ambitious goals for the future. In time, we hope to celebrate our own 10-year anniversary in Alaska, alongside Edible Alaska and the vibrant communities that inspire us every day.
