
Backpacker’s Oatmeal
Ingredients
- ½ cup instant oats
- 2 tablespoons dried coconut milk
- ½ teaspoon brown sugar
- ¼ teaspoon cinnamon
- 2 tablespoons hemp seeds
- 1 tablespoon chia seeds
- ¼ cup walnuts, chopped
- ¼ cup dried cranberries or raisins
- 3 tablespoons freeze dried blueberries or apples
- Wild berries (blueberries, cranberries, cloudberries, etc.), as available
Instructions
- Mix the above ingredients together in a bag. Alter the proportions to your desired taste. To make in the field, boil water. Add mix to a bowl and cover with 1 cup boiled water. Add more water to reach your desired consistency. Add berries if you have them.
