
Spaghetti Sauce with a Secret
Makes enough for 1 pound of dry spaghetti
Ingredients
- 1 28-ounce can good quality crushed plum tomatoes
- 1 large onion, peeled and quartered
- 6 tablespoons butter
- 1½ tablespoons white miso
- Sea salt, to taste
Instructions
- In a heavy-bottomed pan, combine tomatoes, onion, butter, and miso and simmer on medium-low heat, stirring occasionally, until the sauce is thick and concentrated. Remove onion and toss with hot pasta. Adjust salt. Garnish with freshly ground pepper and Parmesan.
