
Summertime Gorp
Kids are great at making gorp (plus, it's customizable). Use this recipe as a guide, but feel free to substitute!
Ingredients
- 1½ cups raw nuts (almonds, pecans, cashews, peanuts)
- 1 cup raw seeds (pumpkin, sunflower)
- 1 cup unsweetened dried fruit
- “Fun stuff” (pretzels, popcorn, marshmallows, cereal, granola, or chocolate/butterscotch/white chocolate chips)
Instructions
- 1.) Wash and dry hands carefully. 2.) Add the above ingredients in a large bowl and mix with your hands. 3.) Store in an airtight container, and transfer to smaller containers for outdoor adventures. Tip: Gently mix before transferring. Air-tight containers work better than bags to prevent crushing ingredients.
