At Alyeska Resort, late summer comes with a signature flavor.
Each August, the mountains come alive with the Blueberry Festival, a weekend dedicated to Alaska’s most beloved wild ingredient. Set in the heart of the Chugach, it’s a celebration of good food, fresh air, and time well spent outdoors.
ON THE FESTIVAL MENU
Across Alyeska Resort, blueberries take center stage. From Greatland and Forte to Sakura and Seven Glaciers, chefs craft limited-time dishes and drinks that highlight Alaska’s wild harvest—think house-made desserts, creative savory plates, and blueberry-infused cocktails.
Beyond the restaurants, the festival expands with food trucks, local vendors, and a lively beer and wine garden creating a dynamic, flavor-forward experience that feels both elevated and distinctly Alaskan.
IN THE MOUNTAINS
The experience is simple and memorable. Guests pick berries on the mountainside, listen to live music, and wander through artisan booths. Families gather for games, contests, and a few classic traditions—like pie eating and the annual Blueberry Creations Contest.
ROOTED IN COMMUNITY
At its heart, the festival is rooted in giving back. Alyeska partners with Little Bears Playhouse, with proceeds from scenic chairlift rides supporting local early education programs. Last year alone, the festival raised over $17K for Little Bears Playhouse, directly benefiting families in the Girdwood community.
