Juneauper Gin & Tonics

Juneauites love to settle down on a bar stool at Juneau’s Amalga Distillery, especially on cool days when the copper still warms the historic art deco building. Amalga is known for its Juneauper Gin, brewed with an array of local botanicals and distilled with Alaska grain. They work in small batches, and each is a little different. You can order from a variety of batched cocktails in the tasting room, all created with handcrafted mixers—even the tonic is made in-house. But sometimes, you might want to enjoy your G&T watching the sunset, or relaxing by a glacier, and now you “can.” Amalga has released their Juneauper Gin & Tonics in ready-to-drink four-can packs. Summer will never be the same. Cheers! —The Editors

Sentinel Coffee Can

Here at Edible Alaska we get hyped up on coffee, but we get even more jazzed about sustainability. Meet the Sentinel Coffee Can. Sentinel Coffee is a small, organic, artisan coffee roaster based in Juneau. We’re fans of their nuanced medium roasts that seem to swing well from espresso to pour-over. Recently, the folks at Sentinel switched to a reusable coffee can. You can hang on to the can and up-cycle it into a storage container, or you can return it to save a dollar on your next pound. More buzz for your buck! —The Editors
