The Alaska Food Fetival and Conference is smart and relevant. As the enthusiasm for meaningful work and food security continues to motivate more and more people to grow their own food, this conference continues to have the most pertinent presentations and participation of any conference in the state that I have seen. It’s a foodie mecca.

The topics hit everything from the growing of the seed to the markets for the production to the big-picture panel discussions about infrastructure and community health.  The networking is always incredible and with the AK Farmers Market Association teaming up on this conference we will only get the chance to do more. I have loved working with farmers over the years and watching them share their experience and knowledge with other farmers. That is the kind of spirit that this conference nurtures. I can’t wait!
