The 2016 conference was my introduction to Alaska's food community and the AFPC. I have continued to collaborate with many of the people I met there on local food systems challenges and opportunities. Our state is experiencing an incredible groundswell of support for a more robust food economy. From farmers to retailers to researchers to eaters; food affects us all.  This conference attracts people from all backgrounds and there's something for everyone. Come on down to Homer this March and attend a session, tour our vendors, break some bread and cheers a glass of local brew; there may be some unexpected opportunities or partnerships awaiting you.
