Ingredients

SERVINGS: Makes about 1 pint of syrup
  • 1 cup wild blueberries (frozen are fine, commercial berries will work in a pinch)
  • 1 cup merlot
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup vodka

Preparation

Add the blueberries, merlot, and sugar to a saucepan and heat to a light boil. Turn off the heat and let it cool to room temperature. Strain out the blueberries, add the vodka, and then bottle and enjoy. (Don’t discard those boozy blueberries. They make a great dessert topping.)
