Evie Witten is an ecologist who has spent most of her career working in Alaska and internationally on collaborative approaches to resource conflicts, and on large scale, community-based conservation agreements that address landscapes as a social, economic and environmental whole. She recently invested closer to home and started Evie’s Brinery, supplying Alaskans with kimchi and kraut made from Alaska grown vegetables. She lives in Anchorage with her husband, daughter, a sweet old dog and a flock of chickens.
