From farmer to makers, this conference embodies small business entrepreneurship & the do-it-yourself spirit of Alaskans. Currently, we are seeing local foods bringing together people of all races, beliefs and political persuasions in our community. This is the ground level for the Shop Small movement. I see this as a central unifying force to provide to most basic and essential commodities to our community. We are so fortunate to have such a wealthy food system and the simplest way we can support it is by utilizing all of the agricultural resources we have available and keep our footprint local.
