Nang Sk’at’áas Joseph Hillaire, Jr.

Nang Sk’at’áas Joseph Hillaire, Jr. is of Lhaq'te'mish (Lummi) and K'iis X̱aad'áagang (Alaskan Haida) descent born and raised in the Lummi Nation. He advocates for environmental justice, social justice, and language revitalization. Currently, he is a Haa Yoo X̱'atángi Deiyí: Our Language Pathway scholar revitalizing X̱aad kíl at University Alaska Southeast, majoring in Alaska Native studies and languages. Joseph uses any English pronouns.
