Rachael is an Associate Professor of Business at Alaska Pacific University (APU) and manages APU’s 800-acre Kellogg Spring Creek Farm Campus, in Palmer, Alaska. She has worked in food systems for almost 15 years. Her experiences include social enterprise, shared kitchen software, sustainable seafood, food security consulting and co-founding a West African street food company. Rachael co-chairs the Alaska Food Policy Council and is the the 2017-20 Walter J. Hickel Professor of Strategic Leadership & Entrepreneurship. When Rachael isn't teaching entrepreneurship or food policy at APU, she's likely to be tending to her backyard flock of chickens and ducks with her faithful sidekick, Lizzie the Labrador.
