Sparkling Mint Lemonade

This time of year we’re looking to celebrate on the lighter side. Our refreshing sparkler is great for kids and adults alike. For the over-21 crowd, add an ounce of Anchorage Distillery Vodka to a pint of lemonade (go with a raspberry or blueberry version for another layer of flavor) for a low alcohol cocktail perfect for summertime imbibing.

Ingredients

SERVINGS: 3 – 4 Serving(s)
  • 8 ounces mint simple syrup
  • 1 quart fresh lemonade
  • 2 pints sparkling water
  • Lemon slices and fresh mint for garnish
Mint Simple Syrup
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup water
  • 1½ cups packed fresh mint leaves

Preparation

Combine mint simple syrup, lemonade, and sparkling water. Mix well and serve over ice garnished with a lemon slice and mint leaves.

Optional: For a refreshing, low alcohol cocktail add 1 ounce Anchorage Distillery vodka per 12 - 14 ounces of lemonade.

Mint Simple Syrup

Combine sugar, water, and mint leaves in a small saucepan and bring to a simmer, stirring constantly until sugar is dissolved. Take off heat and let sit for a few minutes before straining. Make sure to carefully press all liquid out of the mint. You can make syrup up to two weeks in advance; keep in the refrigerator until ready to use.
