The Alaska Small Business Development Center (Alaska SBDC) provides resources, advice, and assistance that help small businesses grow and create measurable economic impact throughout Alaska via its expanding online resources and business management expertise. Experienced business advisors and experts provide assistance through on-site and/or online interactions and training, and at no cost to clients.

The impact of Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) on Alaskan communities and businesses is changing daily. The Alaska SBDC is here to support and prepare small businesses in the days, weeks, and months to come. The Folk School

The Folk School of Fairbanks is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization that offers year round classes and programs in a wide variety of hands-on disciplines. Their mission is to perpetuate the joy of hands-on learning. Classes include music, woodworking, outdoor and survival skills, crafts, working with birch bark and other natural materials, cooking, food preservation, basket weaving, fiber arts, blacksmithing, boat building, visual arts, log construction, and much more. Their premier program, Week in the Woods, is an immersion experience into the boreal forest with talented instructors from many disciplines.
