Erin Kirkland

Erin Kirkland is author of the guidebook, Alaska on the Go: Exploring the 49th state with children, published by University of Alaska Press and available in bookstores, online, and via the AKontheGO website. Her second book, Alaska on the Go: Exploring the Marine Highway System with children is due for publication in 2017.

Erin has served as a contributing editor to Alaska Magazine, as cohost of the Alaska Travelgram Radio Show, and in a guest host capacity for Outdoor Explorer, heard on KSKA 91.1. Currently she appears monthly on KTVA Channel 11’s Daybreak program, and writes a weekly column for the Alaska Dispatch News. Most recently, Erin held the position of managing editor of a global online publication titled Outdoor Families Magazine, dedicated to bringing children and nature together.
